GrillaTech is proud to sponsor Jay Crossley who is running on behalf of Flexicare (Oxford & Abingdon) at the London Big Half Marathon. Jay has been training hard and will run at the event on 1st September 2024.
Flexicare is a chosen charity of GrillaTech Limited and provide a free, specialised sitting service for families of children with disabilities.
Flexicare was founded by Sue Kenrick, in 1985 with the aim “To make that one week, that one day, a little bit easier for that one family”
Their statement is to “offer services in a manner demonstrating respect for privacy, dignity, diversity and cultural values of the child and their family”
Meeting the needs of family life as it happens can be difficult. When one (or more) of your children is disabled, that balancing act can often collapse completely. For a child with complex, additional needs, the usual call of family, friends or neighbours to help with ad-hoc childcare is often not an option.
